Life On Mars?

Okay. These are a couple of images showing what appear to be organic structures or the remnants of civilization, on Mars. Questions? Comments? Snide Remarks?

All of these images link to NASA or government sites. They're real.

Okay, here goes. This is a very recent Mars rover image. It plainly shows a geometrically uniform object in the left-hand section of the image that at first glance appears to be a piece of wood, around 3 or 4 feet long. If it's a rock, what's it doing in the middle of a washed out desert? Why is it a perfect rectangle? Click the image to enlarge.









The next image I want to show you is from the Mars Global Surveyor taken in 2004. It shows the edge of what appears to be a "forest" of organic structures, the largest of which are up to 1km in diameter. Are these alien trees on Mars?
